Nothing reads "home" like hardwood. We install solid and engineered planks in everything from traditional 2¼-inch oak to wide-plank white oak, and we refinish what you already have when it can be saved. Site-finished or pre-finished, your choice.

Hardwood with the right fit for your home

Hardwood flooring changes the feel of a home immediately. It adds warmth, character, and long-term value, but the best choice depends on the house. Solid hardwood, engineered hardwood, prefinished planks, site-finished floors, wide plank styles, and refinishing all have different strengths.

In central Georgia homes, we talk through humidity, subfloor type, room location, pets, traffic, and whether the floor needs to match existing hardwood. Solid hardwood can be a beautiful long-term choice where conditions are right. Engineered hardwood gives more flexibility in many homes and can be a strong option for wider planks or areas where movement is a concern. For wet rooms, ask us about LVP for kitchens, baths, and pet homes.

If you already have hardwood, refinishing may be smarter than replacement. We can help you decide whether the existing floor has enough life left, whether damaged boards can be repaired, and what stain or finish will work with the rest of the home. Hardwood options to compare

  • Solid hardwood: for classic long-term wood flooring.
  • Engineered hardwood: for stability and wider design options.
  • Prefinished hardwood: for a faster, cleaner installation.
  • Site-finished hardwood: for custom stain and finish control.
  • Hardwood refinishing: when the existing floor can be saved.

Hardwood questions we answer every week

Is solid or engineered hardwood better?

Neither is automatically better. Solid hardwood is traditional and can be refinished many times. Engineered hardwood can be more stable in certain conditions and works well for many modern installations.

Can you match my existing hardwood?

Often, yes. We need to see the species, width, stain, finish, and current condition before promising a match.

Can hardwood go in kitchens?

It can, but it depends on the household and water risk. Many families choose LVP for kitchens when durability and water resistance matter more than real wood.

Should I refinish or replace my hardwood?

If the boards are structurally sound and have enough wear layer, refinishing may be the better move. If there is major damage, moisture trouble, or too little material left, replacement may make more sense.
